Till Thursday 11th - Three of the Sea Shepherd boats are in Seaworks dock in Williamstown where you can meet the captains, crew and tour their boats 10am-4.30 daily. Donations are accepted. www.seashepherd.org.au

Sunday 1st - Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne - lots of free kids’ activities, gardening and craft workshops, live music and entertainment at the Eucalypt Festival 10am-4pm. www.rbg.vic.gov.au


Sunday 1st-Sunday 14th - Harbour Town School Holiday Fun. Activities, workshops, circus tricks, find dinosaur bones and rock climbing. Harbour Town Shopping Centre 440 Docklands Drive www.harbourtownmelbourne.com.au


Sundays 1st, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th – Scarecrow Making at the Pop Up Patch which is a vegetable garden on the Federation Square car park rooftop. Bring along old clothes but otherwise all materials provided for the kids to make their own scarecrows. 11am-12pm


Sunday 1st, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th - Gypsy Jazz on the Village Green at CERES. Starts 1pm. Join in, or like most people, just watch! www.ceres.org.au


Tuesday 2nd and Thursday 4th - Stars of the Sea Get your hands wet learning what lives in Port Phillip Bay - sea stars, elephant snails, sea urchins, octopus, seahorses and more. 10am-10.30am and 11am-11.30am L-Shed at Queen Victoria Market. www.qvm.com.au


Tuesday 2nd-Friday 5th - Kids in the Studio: Flip It Learn everything you need to know about creating your very own flip book in this drop-in workshop, including how to morph and transform your own characters. Between 11 and 2pm in ACMI Lightwell in Federation Square.


Tuesdays 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th – Tai Chi in Main Square at Federation Square 7.30am – 8.30am

Tuesday 2nd - Big Screen Gaming at Federation Square. Challenge your friends and beat your high score on the Big Screen. 10am-2pm. Todays game is The Adventures of Tin Tin


Tuesday 2nd - School Holiday Outdoor Cinema Pull up a deckchair, find a spot in the sun or bring your own picnic rug and enjoy free family films on Melbourne’s biggest public screen. Todays film is The Adventures of Tin Tin which starts at 2.30pm.


Wednesday 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th – Zumba at St Pauls Court in Federation Square between 1pm -2pm. Most people probably know what Zumba is these days but if not, it’s a dancing exercise type of class to fairly vigorous music.


Wednesday 3rd - Big Screen Gaming at Federation Square. Challenge your friends and beat your high score on the Big Screen. 2-6pm. Todays game is Lego Batman


Thursday 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th – Organ Recital at St Michaels Church at 120 Collins Street. 1pm-1.30pm

Fridays 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th – Qigong (a sort of Tai Chi combining integrated movement, mental cultivation and regulated breathing) – Main Square at Federation Square 8am – 9am

Sunday 7th April - Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital Street Party at Morrison Place, East Melbourne to celebrate their 150th anniversary. Fun family entertainment including an optional tour of the hospital (the 3rd oldest in Melbourne) including walking along the underground tunnel.


Sunday 7th and 21st – Laughter Club at Federation Square by Swanston Street 11am – 11.30am


Monday 8th – Classics at Fed Square featuring Melbourne Youth Music playing Chicken Run music at The Edge, Federation Square 12noon-1pm.

Saturday 13th - Bangla New Year Celebration in The Edge, Federation Square 6pm-8pm. Join in a colourful cultural evening.


Saturday 20th – Poetry – 2 feature poets and the opportunity to read out your own at The Atrium in Federation Square 2pm – 4pm


Sunday 21st - Watch the Baklava Bake Off in The Atrium 11am-2pm at Federation Square featuring bake offs between professionals and home cooks.


Monday 22nd - Learn Knitting at The Square at Federation Square 12-2pm


Thursday 25th - Anzac Day Parade The 25th of April marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. The day starts with the Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance and is followed by the Parade along Swanston Street about 9am back to the Shrine.


Saturday 27th - Freestyle Dance Academy jam session - Join in or just watch these great dancers. 4pm-6pm Main Stage Federation Square


Sunday 28th – Sunbeam and Talbot Car Club 11am – 2.30pm on Flinders Street section of Federation Square by ACMI
