David Jones Magic Cave

I went with my family to the Myers Spectacular Christmas show at the weekend........

We had a fairly good time there but the best part of the day was actually a trip to the Magic Cave in David Jones which is located next door to Myers.

Being a typical bloke and not really much into shopping, I hadn’t heard much about David Jones other than knowing it was another large Melbourne Department store.........

David Jones Talking Tree .........but at the end of the Myers Spectacular a girl in the crowd told us about the Magic Cave and I’m really glad she did!

Having a chat with Santa (for free) was great and my daughter loved it..........

..........Santa was very nice (and there is the opportunity to get your kids photos taken with him) but chatting with the Talking Tree was even better!..........

.......... The Tree replied to you when you talked to it!!.........

..........It answered lots of questions my daughter (and me!!) asked and although it didn’t sing a song when she asked it to, it did ask my daughter to sing a song to it!...........

..........Which she did!

The little booths with elves and reindeer were also lovely and cute.

David Jones Christmas Cave

And the bonus? No queues!!..........

........I can’t promise it’s always like that as I've never been to the store before but I’d guess that any queue would be significantly less than you’ll find in the Myer Santaland which I thought wasn't nearly as good as the David Jones Magic Cave.

You'll find the Magic Cave on floor.........until Christmas Eve..............
