Melbourne Trip Planner

Use this Melbourne Trip Planner page to get the maps you need to find your way round all the great free and budget friendly things to do in Melbourne.

If you haven't come across Google Maps before, I'll explain briefly how it works.........

.........First of all make it larger by clicking on the blue 'Melbourne Trip Planner' link beneath the map.........

..........To see Melbourne in more detail with a close up view or to see where Melbourne is in relation to the rest of Australia with a far away view, click on the + and - buttons at the bottom right hand corner of the map.........

.........You can also click and hold on the map itself to move the map around.

View Melbourne Trip Planner in a larger map

...........Then click on the + sign a couple of times and then click the blue Markers to find out what the attractions are.........

..........OR probably an even better way is for you to click on any of the places to visit listed on the left hand side of this bigger map page and it will bring up the attraction directly on the map showing you where it is...........

..........You can then copy and paste the page addresses that are listed and you'll find the relevant pages on my site about the attractions.

Next is the free tram map:

Click HERE for the Tram map and print it off.

And here is the Visitor Shuttle map - unfortunately adults now have to pay $10 but it lasts for two days so is still a real bargain, especially as kids under 10 are still free.

Click HERE for the Shuttle map and print it off.

You'll now be able to see where the attractions are in relation to the bus and tram routes so you can plan your trip efficiently.........

..........Just mark down on the printed tram and bus maps the locations you plan to visit and you have your own Melbourne Trip Planner ready to go!

You'll actually find that it's fairly easy to walk from one side of Melbourne city centre to the other eg Fitzroy Gardens to Docklands is only about 3.5 kilometres and Flinders Street Railway Station to the Royal Exhibition Building is less than a 15 minute walk.........

........Obviously though it'll be even easier by the visitor bus or tram!!

By clicking on the - button three or four times you'll find the outlying attractions but you'll need a car to get to these.
