Prahran Market - Kids Activities

Prahran Market is a nice place to spend a few hours anyway but there's a number of kid friendly days here too making it an ideal place to visit.......

Prahran Market

........especially in the school holidays when you're running out of ideas and patience!

Your kids can get their faces painted for free on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.30am-12.30pm and Sundays 10.30am-2.30pm........

........and on Thursdays between 10am and 1pm there'll be a children's interactive singer.......

.......He has a collection of mini-musical instruments so your kids can play along with him.

On Saturdays the kids can also play (or learn to play) chess in the Market Square between 11am and 2pm - no booking required. This is open to all ages......

......and there's a free children's playground in the Market Square for the littler kids........

Face Painting

.........and as a bonus, don't forget the free music which is played in the Market Square every Sunday from 12noon - 3pm.

That's another few dates for your diary. Isn't it getting rather full now?!!

Please note that it'd be best to double check that these times haven't changed before you go by clicking on Prahran Market Events

The best ways to get there from the centre of Melbourne are on Tram 72 from Swanston Street and get off at Stop No 30 near Chapel Street, or a train from Flinders Street Railway Station going on the Sandringham line to Prahran Station.
